Business and financial consulting

Our financial modelling and business planning services support the owners and decision makers of companies with the assessment, modelling, and continuous review of the effects and risks of various economic decisions (project financing, corporate financing, privatisation, corporate strategy, capital expenditure and investment, spin-offs and acquisitions etc.). Our services include:

  • preparation of business plans and financial models
  • review of business plans and financial models
  • developing and introducing standards of business planning and financial modelling
  • business valuation

Reliable and well-supported financial forecasts, the financial models built on them, and risk analyses can substantially contribute to the quick and efficient business decision making, as they provide both the identification of risk factors and alternatives that determine the decisions, as well as the demonstration of the decisions’ impacts.

Business planning and financial modelling are frequently utilised tools in controlling and in the decision making process. Based on our experience, however, in most cases these business plans and financial models are not suitable to support the decisions to be made, because they neither reveal and quantify properly the factors and risks that influence decisions, nor they are flexible enough to deal with various scenarios.

Several surveys show that approximately 85% of the applied financial models contain errors. Consequently, it can be assumed that significant business decisions are made based on incorrect information.

Considering the significance of financial modelling and risk analysis in the corporations’ business processes, and in order to make business decisions faster and more efficient, it is the companies’ essential interest to decrease the implied risks in financial modelling.
